We’re strugling to get new members. Let’s get the word out, and make this club a success.
We’ve got a great location, and interesting and informative content. What we don’t have are warm seats in the chairs.
Our friends at the Burlington Machine Knitter’s Guild will be hosing a “Summer Knit-a-long” event in June. The event will be held in our own lovely Grace United Church, in Port Dover. Early tickets sales will be made available to the Norfolk Machine Knitters Club, until April 30, then are made available to the general public after that date. Tickets are $15. Details are in the attached document.
Our May 9th meeting was small, but sweet. Ben Demonstrated how to make and use a Cast On Rag, 2 ways, with some guidance on how to use them.
Next month (June) JoAnne will be giving us some insight as to haw to do machine KnitWeaving. Can’t wait!
We’ve decided to do a 2 part demo on how to make them a little later in the year. Both demos will be by JoAnne Scott
Part one will be how to knit the basic shape.
Part 2 will be how to stuff, sew and finish a doll.
